Load up on the ship to get after the prison boat - a YT929 armoured transport
Rimer makes the calculations to get us ahead of them (on the edge of the system)
Ship packs a punch, so we’re trying to get ahead of em and pick our battleground.
Tuck ourselves in behind some asteroids
Boost out at em, KD slices one of the ties, dropping a strain on them.
Sneak attack, then actual combat starts
Willie stays on target.
As he spirals us in towards the hostiles, KD blasts the wing off one of the TIEs, sending it spiralling towards the freighter (blocking it’s view of us temporarily)
Zarlo is lined up for his shot and destroys a second TIE.
Rimer is continuing to jam/confuse their comms
KD can’t get a clear shot at the remaining TIE
Willie rolls us under the transport for a clearer shot
Transport makes some clumsy manoeuvres, takes a shot at us with the ion cannons but misses drastically
Zarlo blasts it, crippling their hyperdrive
Transport turns on us, firing off its concussion missiles. Misses us good
Willie brings us in closer to em, performing evasive actions on the way.
We are all learning how ship combat works together.
Reminder The Alexandrian has a nifty quick reference guide and today we have been making extensive use of the “Starship Actions” bit:
Rimer gets local comms between us and them, convinces them to surrender “we’ve taken out your drives and escort, we own your comms, there’s nowhere to run”
We board the ship. No resistance. Willie gets into the ship computer, no droids aboard, all stun weapons. Gets a crew/prisoner manifest, crew/prisoners all accounted for.

Rimer checks out the prisoners medically, one of em’s in pretty bad shock, rest of em are pretty much ok.
We take one of the officers, and anything that’s not nailed down. Making it look like Black Sun did the raid.
Willie doesn’t find anything in the logs indicating they’d ID’d us during the combat. This DOES NOT mean they haven’t.
Decide to scuttle the ship, park it near the asteroid we were hiding behind.
Transfer everyone onto our ship.
Repair the system strain.
Willie’s being all concerned parent and checking on Zarlo
Turns out one of the imperials was Zarlo’s sister/relative. Does a DNA test. Stim packs her back awake. She recognises him as “Zar”. Thought he was dead. He thought she was dead, was listed as MIA. Maybe joined ISB?
Hutts come up.
Smile comes from their father.
She was recruited into the empire. No contact for years.
2-3 years ago, Zarlo saw her face on a Hutt bounty board.
Family’s left behind. She was told they’d all been killed in a rebel attack.
Zarlo is in bits.
Asks her what she’s doing on the ship, and how long she’s been doing it.
This assignment comes after a demotion, probably the same reason she’s on the bounty board. Not much more.
There was an incident while she was with ISB.
~3 months between dead end runs to/from Kashyyk.
Willie asks what she did to get demoted from the ISB.
Not getting an answer for now. Not a subject she wants to cover.
On a scale of 1-10, the Hutts offer 500,000 (up from 250k) for her.
Blew up a palace or something maybe.
Willie thinks that’s the same as what he did for them, although his was a lost cargo rather than blowing anything up.
Deffo does not want to space her.
- KD could be confused about siblings vs just another being
Zarlo offers to just take care of her. But she’s concerned that’s a euphemism
Stuns her back out.
Willie’s concerned about breaking it to the rest of us.
