Starting out Green 20250919

Dekmar’s taken the stuff back to the ship. Dom’s out so he’s staying there to guard the stuff.

Wasn’t Buzzsaw’s actual crew Rimer got dragged into, just a Rebel safehouse.

Rimer’s on his own though. Rebel that took him in is not a fan, points a blaster at his head, asks him what the hell he’s up to.

Rimer blags something about an opportunity. The troopers that were outside look like they’re inbound.

Rimer gets bagged and shoved down a ladder.

Bag off, he’s in a little apartment. Splashes a bit of water in his face and sits down to wait.

KD and Zarlo go around to a back entrance (cunningly dodging the troopers), get put in the same secret bunker as Rimer. Greetings are given.

Willie spots the troopers going in, we hear blaster fire from above.

Some scouting around in the basement, Zarlo finds a potential escape hatch, KD zaps himself.

Willie’s still on the outside, sees the troopers leading four people out in binders, to the transport.

Troopers loaded up and headed off down the street then headed off towards the garrison (near the spaceport).

We’re gonna keep pinging Willie with our location and start heading down the tunnel. To the South.

Tunnel pops out in a maintenance closet. Fuseboards and cables etc.

Willie sneaks round the back, bounces himself off some roofs and meets up with Fallon, kid hiding on one top of one of the buildings.

Asks him about Buzzsaw, gets led down to the basement, which is surprisingly empty.

Kid is not sure about them. Or us. Punches up some coordinates for where Buzzsaw was based. Shared with the crew.

Question for later, how much loot did we miss out on that was in the safe house?

Group decides to meetup back at the ship.

Pay up another 100cr to keep the ship docked for another day. Thoughts are afoot about potentially hitting the garrison to free the guys that were captured.

KD is allowed to stay with the ship overnight. Rest of the guys camp out at a local hotel. Willie does some R+R, reads the manual for his armour/jetpack.

Zarlo helps Rimer patch up his hand/burn (from the artefact). But there will be a scar.

Reminder we’ve got a YT-2400, not whatever I noted before.

25cr a room, 50 total.

Rimer and Zarlo hit the bar while Willie’s napping. Rimer gets some odd looks, but can’t work out why.

Local banter isn’t too specific. Checkpoints, for our own safety, some sort of kerfuffle.

Zarlo repeatedly points out that he’s not ISB. Barman appears a little concerned and closes up early. One stiff drink and this is what happens.

Rimer dreams of his mother and the past in general. Mostly stressful stuff. Not good dreams.

Spaceport keeps ticking along, nothing particularly dramatic, standard capital city, never sleeps.

Everyone sleeps.

Next morning, Rimer and Dekmar stick around the ship studying, everyone else goes shopping.

See our prior contact, got a disruptor to sell, and Willie’s after that helmet thing. Fails to sell it,

Guy’s got a lot of droid parts to sell.

Imps show up. KD has a look for any interesting droid parts, or MSE droids that can be cobbled together.

Nabs an MSE/bit donked. Willie and Zarlo get most of their stuff, minus the EOD kit but everything else is ok.

Ship is fine, heading out to the jungle coords to find Buzzsaw. Hopefully. We are pinged en route so land a good distance from the actual coords.

Make the best landing in the history of the galaxy.

Jump on the bikes, head off through the jungle. Notice some traps, and that we’re definitely being stalked. Hands up, meet up, there is conversation.

People we meet are wary. Obvs. 18 of the buggers. Humans, and aliens, and women?

Zarlo manages to charm us in with talk of hitting the base. Pat downs, and onwards to the base.

Still in dense jungle, tents/camo etc.

At least 45 people in the base, starfighters and speeder bikes around the place.

Decent tech/surveillance setup though.

Brown skinned, tall/lanky human appears to be in charge.

Have told them we’re intending to take on Gyrene base.

Want them to supply intelligence, movements. Potentially run interference.

They pull up the outer schematics of the base, we throw in the info we have overlaid. Add in our sewer system entrance.

Plan is for KD and Zarlo to enter in disguise, shut down the shields, call down the X-wings, and somehow get away before anything goes boom.

Want to get Buzzsaw’s guys to draw troops away from the base. So the infiltration is easier.

Looks like we have a plan of sorts, hit the base in three days.

Meet the guys at the village, let the villagers know in advance though.

Look into swapping out the ship transponder in advance (or just after the raid?)

Led back to the speeders, head back to the ship with no issues, and fly allll the way back to the base, finally.

Cover up the ship in the camo netting.

Plans for prep:

AT-ST use? Backup for distraction crew.

Zarlo and KD hit the base. Everyone else coordinating Buzzsaw’s crew.

note to self, call him "Mr Saw" whenever possible

Map of Gyrene base (relevant parts internal and external)

Jungle battlefield.

Strafing run on any grounded fighters once the shield is down - Willie

More exfiltration options for getting out once the shields are down.

While we’re in there see what info we can pull out.

Maybe sabotage the fighters if the opportunity presents itself.
