Something about that title has a ring to it.

Aaaand Action!

Three guys have rappelled in, and started taking up positions. They’re outfitted like stormtroopers, but all in black.

Hostile One spots our KX droid first and blasts his poor little arm off. Sad sad sad.

Hostile Two goes for Mouth. Mouth takes a dive, avoiding damage and getting himself in to cover.

K3-M1 takes a swing at the trooper that had shot him. It’s absorbed by the armour, but sends him skittering over the floor to fall at Snowy's hairy feet. This little manoeuvre also puts the droid on the floor though, as his software adjusts to the revised weight distribution.

Snowy smacks the prone guy (H1) with her axe. Those anatomy lessons paid off and he takes a good blow to the head, damaging the helmet, but is still ticking.

Mouth pops out of cover, guns blazing, unleashing a flurry of bolts at Hostile Two. Some of the shots go wild, but he peppers the trooper with fire. One of his blasters overheats momentarily. Someone’s been slacking on their maintenance during the downtime.

The third trooper enters the fray. Seeing Mouth as the biggest threat, opens fire on him. They mostly go pinging off his armour, though he is feeling the heat.

“Fire in the hole” Nira screams, chucking a proton grenade at Hostile Two. Melts em a bit, but he’s still standing.

Ed pops a couple into the chest of Hostile Two. He doesn’t seem phased by the attack, beckons em on, calling for more. He’s gonna reap the actions of those consequences.

Hostile One skitters across the floor, back towards the stairs, taking shots at Snowy as he does so. Snowy tries to dodge it, but takes one to the armpit. Bellowing in rage.

Everyone is picking on Snowy, the second trooper shoots at her too! Causes a bit more damage.

Nira fires of a frag grenade this time, Hostile Two goes down, the heat and concussion scrambling whatever’s inside that armour. His buddies that were bunched around him (rookie error, being that close) take a bit of heat from the blast, shrapnel slamming into them. The blast wave clears some of the smoke they’d unleashed too.

All the action appears to have awoken something in the sectioned off room (to the south). There’s a bit of a commotion/banging coming from there now, we hear faint groans.

Mouth opens up on Hostile Three again. Begins shooting wild, takes a minute to collect himself, and melts stuff, punching some holes in that armour.

((13 damage twice! There's a Triumph *and* a Despair in there too.))

Then realises some of the shots from his initial flurry had hit K3, pushing him towards the brink.

Snowy spikes themselves with a stimpack while Hostile Three shoots at Mouth again, but hits nothing but air.

Ed shouts at Pinky (why this is what he’s decided to call K3 remains to be decided) to get up and do something, “Blast em!” and shoots at Hostile Three, catching em right in the neck joint.

Pinky pulls himself up the wall, pulling a blaster out and levelling it at H3. Shoots him right in the back, the blast putting him down on his face, apparently out of commission. Pinky takes a minute to dust himself off, muttering “Like that?” under his breath. Or what would be his breath, if he breathed.

That’s two down, one to go!

Hostile Two pulls something out of his pocket, dives across the room and whacks a data spike Of some kind into one of the computers, which starts uploading something. The lighting flickers, and the door to the lab zone creaks open. There are groans (and not from the door).

The idiot has released the infected!

Nira hands Snowy their fusion cutter (to better crack through the armour) TKTKTK witty one liner.

Snowy fires it up and gets the saboteur. The cutter sinks through the armour, and eviscerates the bugger. Anatomy lessons come in again, and guts come out. The guy makes a lot of noise, then shuts up suddenly, permanently.

The infected are shambling towards us, in what remains of their uniforms. Dr Voss is cowering in a corner. There’s no cure for death. If there’s anything she wants to say to them she should do it now.

Ed blasts the nearest group, one goes down. Shouts “Aim for the head, shoot em in the meat and they just keep going”.

Pinky spots the contaminants, and starts blasting.

Takes out the rest of that group. “Yes, you shoot most things in the head, they tend to die”

Mouth gets some shots off, opening up with both guns, literally mows through one of the other groups of shamblers.

Shooting them enough time also appears to kill them (again).

They’re shambling at Snowy, I guess her brain smells best? Because she’s the smartest?

The axe comes out again, and Snowy makes a mess of em, cleaving through their rotting meat. Two are still ticking though.

Ed takes careful aim and pops another in the cranium.

Nira runs over to the last one standing, primes a grenade, shoves it in his mouth, and gives em a good kick out of the way.

Big badaboom.

Aaaand breathe! Well, some of us.

Snowy applies some first aid.

Nira patches Kemi up a bit. Still missing an arm, but not leaking any more, at least.

Ed wants to salvage whatever we want from here and get out before anyone else turns up.

Time to go full loot goblin!
